Extrusion Cut to Length Website Feature
The Airline website can now quote and process purchases of cut to length extrusion assemblies. Currently, these are limited to cut to length orders (no end taps or drilling now). In addition, there is also the ability to easily find the Airline Extrusion (AX) substitute for Bosch Rexroth profiles as well.
You can find the cut to length feature and substitutes through search or navigating through categories.
Clicking customize length brings you to an item detail page where you can enter a length or choose to order full sticks or bundles. As you enter a length the price will update based on the per millimeter price and cut charge. *Note there is a set length (about ¾ of a full stick) where it will charge for the entire stick price because of the scrap created.
The availability for cut to length is the number of full sticks that we have to cut from. It does not adjust on the fly to account for the number of smaller cuts that could theoretically be completed.
The length for each profile will show in the item notes of the cart and also show on email confirmations that are sent out.
Clicking Substitute Available will also take you to the item detail page and give you Bosch to AX crossover options. As we add the website cut to length feature to Bosch profiles, we are also adding it for AX profile options. We have started out with 45 series profiles and are expanding out from there.

- We can send out samples of both the Ax and Bosch so you can see for yourself that they are an identical drop in next to each other. The strength is the same which we advertise on our samples for your engineers to evaluate.
- Some customers have been using Bosch for years and are concerned that changing brands will affect their designs and/or the look of their product. The Ax extrusion is nearly identical to Bosch in form, fit and function. It is the same material. It looks the same. Fits the same. Is dimensionally the same. All of the Bosch hardware will fit. Customers should have no concerns about changing brands. If they have specific technical questions (for example strength), they can contact John, Bill or Bill.
- There are extended times when we have to wait for Bosch extrusions to arrive when we already have the equivalent on our shelves with our Ax brand. The 14 extrusions are all stocked in Bensalem, and in some cases, more readily available than Bosch. Consult our website for up-to-date availability.
