In addition to shopping by category, you can use the search bar at the website's top right corner. The search bar accesses over 750,000 items in our system and the information on the site's content pages.
- Keyword searches You can enter a keyword, such as a manufacturer’s name, or a phrase, such as “light curtain.” The search will return a list of products with item descriptions or part numbers that match these keywords. The search will also return any item categories and content pages of the site where the keyword is found.
- Part number searches Part numbers are also searchable, including the manufacturer part number, a customer part number, or an Airline part number. Wildcard characters (symbols such as “%” used to represent one or more missing characters) are not needed for part number searches, as the system will return items exactly matching or partially matching the part number entered, regardless of dashes or spaces.
- Extended Catalog search If you do not see the item you are looking for in the search results list, you will be allowed to try again using the link provided to our Extended Catalog.
ITEM RESULTS LIST
The list of items after searching or shopping via category is referred to as the Item Results List.
- At the top of the page, you will see the number of items on this page. You can search within these results for item results with more than one page.
- You can also select the number of items you want to display on one page using the drop-down control next to page size. (This control only shows on pages with over ten items.)
- We have made it easy for you to determine at a glance the Preferred Stock products, Bosch-Rexroth Go-To products, clearance items, or configurable/assembly items by assigning icons to these types of items. The information link on the left of the gray header row shows the types of icons and their meanings.
- Listed on the Item Results List are the item ID (blue hyperlink), Airline part number (in red), a short description, the item’s unit of measure (UOM), the item’s availability, and the item’s price.
- You can enter the desired quantity in the field under “Quantity.”
- Add the quantity to a Shopping List (logged-in shoppers only).
- Add the amount to a Quote.
- Add the amount to a Cart (to purchase).
- You can also click on the hyperlinked Item ID of any item to access its Item Detail Page.
REFINE RESULTS IN AN ITEM RESULTS LIST
Refining Results is another way to narrow the results in an Item Results list. Use “Refine Results” on the left of your desktop screen to filter by specific manufacturers or, in some cases, by item attributes. Then, click the small plus sign next to a feature, and make your selections.
- You can click one or more choices to refine your results. For example, click the “Refine Search” button to see a filtered list of items with your selected criteria.
- To remove one or more of these search fields, click the X next to the attribute you no longer wish to choose.
Please keep in mind that Airline will be upgrading our Refine Results feature by adding more product attributes you can use to filter your results.
ITEM DETAIL PAGE
To learn more about a particular item in the Item Results list, click its hyperlinked Item ID to access the Item Detail Page. On the item detail page, you can see additional information about the individual part.
- Click the “Features” tab (if available) to view the features and benefits of the product.
- Click the “Technical Specifications” tab (if available) to see a list of tech specs for that item.
- Click the “Document Links” tab to find the item’s data sheet as a PDF file. If the data sheet is part of a more extensive catalog, in many cases, the pdf will open directly to the page describing that item while still allowing access to the entire catalog.
- If you want to purchase the item, enter the quantity you want to buy, and click the “Add to Cart” button.
- There are links to add the item to a quote or shopping list.
